Karen Wellington Foundation:
One of our true joys is partnering with The Karen Wellington Foundation to offer moments of beauty, laughter, and fun to breast cancer survivors and their caretakers through our staff serving them. This partnership holds a very special place in our hearts. We know that a day of relaxation can be transformational, allowing women to reconnect with themselves and their loved ones in a way that can feel impossible as they navigate their cancer diagnosis.
Each recipient who has walked through our salon and spa doors with the foundation arrives carrying their own unique story. And each time, it is our privilege to welcome them in, surround them with care, and be a small bright spot along their journey.
As a woman-owned business, we are so proud to stand beside organizations like the Karen Wellington Foundation that build community, uplift women, and give them a memory of hope that lasts far beyond their appointment.
The Joseph House Holiday Give Backs: Our staff is proud to support The Joseph House through donation drives, jeans-day fundraisers,and meaningful moments spent directly with the veterans. Together, we’ve been able to purchase Kroger gift cards, host pizza parties, and spend time hearing their stories while getting to know the residents and staff. Those conversations and connections have become some of the most impactful moments of our partnership, reminding us how important it is to show up generously and continue supporting an organization that is creating safety, stability, and community for those who have served.
Day of Peace: Day of Peace is near and dear to our hearts. Once a year, our salon is closed to the public, and our staff volunteers their time providing services to caregivers. Over the years, this special day has welcomed caregivers of the terminally or chronically ill, parents who are grieving the loss of a child, and parents of children who are on the spectrum. Our staff dedicates their day to pampering these special men & women, giving them a Mitchell’s moment of rest and relaxation.
Local Community/Staff Support: Supporting our community is at the core of who we are. Whether it’s rallying around our staff members going through difficult times with our Jeans Days fundraisers, or donating gift cards and spa packages as raffle items & auction prizes to support the organizations and fundraisers that are most important to our clients, we believe in being generous with our time and resources. We are committed to being a pillar of good in our community by celebrating and supporting those who make Mitchell’s what it is.
